It was a wonderful experience. Not only was kayaking great fun, but the view of Mount Fuji from the water was absolutely breathtaking. Grahame, our outstanding guide, took plenty of time to tell us about Mount Fuji and about Japan as a whole. It was both an active and an educational experience. Highly recommended!

Amazing Views and a Fantastic Guide
We had an amazing canoeing experience! The activity was incredible, and the scenery was absolutely breathtaking. The views were stunning throughout the whole trip, making it an unforgettable experience. A special thanks to our guide, CJ, who was fantastic. He was friendly, professional, and made everything so easy from start to finish. We felt well taken care of the entire time. I highly recommend this activity to anyone visiting the area. It’s definitely something you shouldn’t miss!

Kayaking adventure with stunning mount Fuji views
We had a fantastic kayaking trip on the lake with the four of us. The scenery was beautiful, and the experience was made even better by our guide, Grahame. He was great company throughout the trip and shared nice stories and insights about Mount Fuji and the surrounding area, making the adventure both fun and educational. Our kids had a splendid time paddling and playing with the water, which made the outing memorable for our family. Thank you, Grahame, for such a wonderful experience. And yes—Len accepted your invitation and hopes to come back one day to lend a hand! We highly recommend this kayaking tour to anyone looking for a relaxing, enjoyable, and personal experience around Mount Fuji.

We hadden een last minute booking gedaan bij NatureBase en we werden door Graham ontzettend prettig ontvangen. Hij nam alle tijd voor ons en we konden alles aan hem vragen over de omgeving en Japan. Het was een heerlijke kayaktocht en een mooie highlight op onze reis!

Kayak with coffee!
I loved this activity!!! We started at the Naturabase and got some explanations and good coffee! Then we started our Tour with our Guide, we had a 100% Fujiyama view and that in Summer! We were a really nice troup and our Guide was amazing, thank you!!! It was all perfect! I highly recommend this activity!

I had the most wonderful first kayaking experience with CJ at Natural Base, and I couldn’t have asked for a better guide. CJ is incredibly friendly, easygoing, and makes you feel comfortable from the very beginning. He welcomed me with a coffee before we headed out and shared interesting stories about Mount Fuji and the history of the Five Lakes, which made the experience much more meaningful than just a kayaking tour. As a solo traveler, I felt completely at ease chatting with him throughout the morning. Even though the tour is typically around 60–90 minutes, he kindly let me enjoy the lake for almost two hours without making me feel rushed. That extra time on the calm waters with Mount Fuji in the background became one of the highlights of my entire Japan trip. If you’re thinking about kayaking for the first time, I can’t recommend CJ enough. He’s patient, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about helping people enjoy the lake. One small suggestion for Natura Base would be to consider adding a few more unique water activities alongside kayaking—perhaps stand-up paddleboarding or other non-motorized experiences that aren’t commonly available. As a tourist, I can say that many visitors are always looking for unique outdoor activities, and having more options would make an already fantastic experience even better. Thank you, CJ, for such an unforgettable morning. I’ll definitely be back if I’m in the area again!

Best Fuji adventure ever
We had the most fabulous day with CJ. He was so passionate about the area giving us time and patience to enjoy some stunning vistas. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone, not having the opportunity to fully climb Mount Fuji, but still getting the chance to explore the surrounding area and enjoy some fabulous views. CJ’s lunch choice was spot on. The day whizzed by so quickly , our only wish would have been to continue exploring. Thank you NatureBase Tours.
